It’s very easy to feel lost, alone, confused and out of focus. It happens to the best of us. Life is a journey, not a straight road, and more often than not we experience phases or days when things are rough. We go through periods of time when we lose hope, we feel devastated and are borderline losing patience with ourselves.
But why do we forget the most important things? We are not in control. We do not decide what happens to us, who people are to us, or the paths that we take.
When I get questions like “How do you do it?” Or “How are you able to keep calm in the face of adversity?” , my answer is always pretty simple “I live by faith, not by sight.” “My faith is always in God, not man”
The truth is, human beings are full of faults, errors, mistakes. Sometimes they do things knowingly, and other times they are completely unaware of what they’re doing. And while it’s easy and more soothing to be angry or hurt about the same, we need to remember that our faith and strength should always come from above. Let Him do these things for you.
Faith.
Many times we find ourselves at a crossroads, confused, scared and unable to move forward. We refuse to try because we fear the outcome. We all have this fear from time to time. The problem with this is that, we are unable to do things because we put so much faith and trust in ourselves. We believe that if we have certain capacities, then maybe we can. If we feel that we fall short of this, then maybe we should not. The fact that we believe in our own shortcomings is the root of our problems. First, you cannot do things in doubt. You cannot move forward when you don’t believe in yourself. Faith has no room for doubt. Progress has no room for doubt. When you feel a little shaken and unsure, remember that your strength comes from above. And where you fall short, He will deliver.
Sometimes we feel quite devastated. Have you ever tried to do something but everything seems to be working against you? You try so hard but nothing seems to work. You could be actively looking for a job, or be in a toxic relationship, or some of your friendships just don’t work. And you push! You do whatever you feel is necessary, actively trying to make things go a certain way. But still, you fail. You need to stop and listen. Listen. God has a way of speaking to us and redirecting us to greater heights. If we could just focus, and listen.
It’s hard to stay optimistic when everything seems to go south. But ask yourself, what can you do that God can’t do a thousand times better? By faith.
We walk by faith, not by sight.
If He says that your faith cam move mountains, who are you to doubt that?
Just take a moment out of your routine to listen, to meditate. It could change your life.
Have a fruitful week.
