Every woman’s dream would be to have a smooth, pure face; the type that cosmetic companies seek for their advertisements. However, more often than not, many women find themselves feeling a little insecure about their facial skin; something that prompts many to seek help from as far and wide as they possibly can.
However, it is important to note that while it is possible to pay for facials, and undergo all levels of skin therapy, the greatest solution to our problems are right with us.
While I do intend to include a few cosmetic remedies that will undoubtedly change your lives, some of the lifestyle hazards that cause dry and wrinkly skin for most of us include:
Not taking enough water – I once had this issue, and I promise that it goes way beyond the skin. Water is very vital for the human body, and it is important to stay hydrated. Not only does it make your face smooth, but it also ensures that you have healthy hair, and you stay away from indigestion problems.
Smoking and drinking – Now, I know a lot of you probably do not want to hear this, but cigarettes and alcohol do a whole lot of damage on your body that is way more than skin deep. You want flawless skin? Try avoiding these two for two months. You’ll see.
Now, with that done, there are a few products that I would strongly recommend, by virtue of having used them for years.
- Nivea Products
I have used Nivea for years! Safe to say that they are my favorite products seeing as I have never once reacted to them, and they are absolutely gentle on the skin. More specifically, the Nivea Facial Cleanser, it is the absolute best. It retails at around 750sh in Kenya and is available in all supermarkets. I had a great deal of rashes on my cheekbones that were only visible from a close view; and I decided to try Nivea and see what would happen.
Well, the best happened.
In addition to the cleanser, I stopped using oil on my face and opted for a cream. On other days, I use the Nivea Natural Fairness or Nivea Smooth Sensation lotions too!
2. St Ives Products
I decided to try out St Ives products a few months ago, and I have not been disappointed at all. See, St Ives provides a variety of facial scrubs; there’s Fresh Skin, Apricot Scrub and Blemish Control. All of these are available in Supermarkets mostly (In order to rule out buying any counterfeit products); and retail from 600sh and above.
Now, it is very important to know what suits your face.
If you have acne, or a few blackheads and need something for that, you can try the Blemish Control and Blackhead Clearing, respectively.
If you are looking for a nice scrub, or something to clear dead skin every few days, then the Apricot Scrub and Fresh Skin would be ideal for you.
I hope that this article changes your life for the better and that you achieve great results at the end of your trial period.
All the best, Ladies!
Have a great week.
