When September checks in, then so does pageant season. I know it has been long overdue, but I wanted to make this post today, on Thanksgiving Day. And, while it is not a traditional holiday here in Kenya, I feel that it should be recognized. PS: I love holidays way too much.
I’ve been going through my pictures from last year at the Miss Earth boot-camp in Austria; thanks to Facebook mostly for the daily reminder, and I realized that I never got to share with you some of the pictures and videos from the three weeks that I spent with new friends; experiencing winter for the first time and making memories that I’ll share with my children in the future.
Today, being Thanksgiving Day, I’m eternally grateful to have had this grand opportunity to make lasting memories and create great friendships. It is hard to believe that it’s been a year, and we are still going strong.
